Smartphones provide us with endless opportunities. They enable us to stay connected, send texts, take photos, record videos, play online casino games, listen to music, check our emails, share information, etc. Here are some of the biggest mistakes people make using their smartphones.
Using While Charging
When you first get home from work and plug in your charger, there should be plenty of time to allow your battery to fully recharge. Once it’s fully charged, turn off your phone by pressing its power button until it turns off entirely. Turn it back on after leaving the charger unattended for 30 minutes or longer. This shouldn’t damage your device. If nothing happens when you turn off your phone, then there might be an issue such as a faulty charger, defective batteries, damaged connections, or a problem with the software.
Do Not Use unlimited Cell Service
You may want to consider getting a mobile-friendly data plan instead of unlimited cellular service. Cell phones were never meant to run without limit and they’re not designed this way by their manufacturer. So, unless you already spend most of your day sitting down in front of a computer, chances are you don’t actually need cell service while you’re not. A limited data plan can give you just enough data to keep up with daily life, but won’t let you download apps, shop at retail stores, chat online, stream content via social media, watch movies, or do anything else you do regularly.
Not Resetting Once in a While
When you get home from work and turn on your phone, try turning it off again right away. It’s important to reboot your phone if something goes wrong during the previous step. Try waiting 10 minutes between restarts to allow all apps to shut down cleanly. Resetting your device helps fix problems that occur because of outdated code.
If everything seems normal when you turn your phone on, and it shuts itself off within three seconds, there might be a hardware problem. Check for loose components like screws and broken antennae before calling tech support.
